The atmosphere was fantastic and the hospitality was warm.

The hotel is in a central location and the first‑floor rooms had everything we needed. A separate toilet and shower on the ground floor were easily reachable by stairs. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was a highlight in addition to the location. I didn’t realize when booking that the room faced an alley instead of the canal.

The place is centrally located and I had a good stay last time, but this time the room and bathroom were on separate floors, with a steep staircase that made it hard to descend quietly at night. I’m not sure if the cheese and butter for breakfast were served on warm plates, because they were almost melted, but otherwise it was fine.
The room felt very intimate, yet it was also very different from other hotel rooms, especially since we were the only guests who had a private bathroom attached to the living area.
