I didn’t realize it was a pub with six rooms, but they were located at the back of the property and the noise was minimal. The staff were friendly and charming, and I’d likely stay again for future trips to Durham. The bathroom was cramped and required a bit of contortion to use the toilet, but it was clean, new, and had plenty of hot water.

The place was in a great spot and the price was fair; we only stayed one night yet had everything we needed. When we entered the room, we were a little uneasy about the earplugs that came with the bed—though it was noisy at first, it calmed down later, even though it was just a Monday night; the weekend could be different.
