“Simplemente perfecto para disfrutar del paraíso azoriano”

Everything was great, especially Orlando’s friendliness and invaluable help. We sprained an ankle and he provided crutches for the whole stay. The location is excellent and parking at the door is hassle‑free. We had the apartment cleaned halfway through our 10‑night stay. Orlando and Carla also offered us a dinner with local products, and we had a pleasant chat. I definitely recommend it—thanks a lot, Orlando! The only thing I’d add is a microwave in the upstairs suite, even though we always had access to the kitchen on the ground floor.

Nice, clean accommodation. We had access to a locked upper floor with two rooms, and the owner let us use his fully equipped kitchen on the ground floor, including a washer‑dryer. It was the best stay we’ve had while traveling around the Azores.

We had a good time in Cabo da Vila. Orlando was very welcoming and even a night check‑in was not a problem. Communication was perfect. The place has a great location—close to the city center but far enough to be in a calm zone, with non‑problematic parking. There is a shared garden with a swimming pool, tables, and a barbecue area. I didn’t realize there was a shared kitchen, which might explain why it wasn’t always clean to my standards. The kitchen area would benefit from more cleaning attention. Overall I would describe the house as clean, but the biggest minus was the presence of cockroaches in our upper family suite. We found four of them during our five‑day stay—one each day. I’m not sure where they came from, maybe from the kitchen downstairs? It was definitely not a nice surprise during our stay.

“A home away from home”

Comfortable room, large bathroom, very friendly owner, fully equipped kitchen for sharing, quiet location, and the center of Ribeira is reachable on foot. The only downside was the barking dogs early in the morning.

“Shared luxurious villa in great central location”

As a large family house turned guesthouse, it offered many luxuries, like a big bathtub and a large terrace. The location is very convenient: a quiet neighborhood within walking distance of the biggest grocery store in the area and only a 10‑minute walk to Old Town and the city beach. Orlando was also a very kind host, readily sharing his space and knowledge and being very responsive. The only drawback was that it could be a bit cleaner in detail (e.g., stove, water stains).
