I liked that the room had enough space to exercise, even though I didn’t actually work out. Compared to the usual cramped rooms, it’s wide, clean, safe, with cool air conditioning, and the space is well divided for one pillow and a small one. There’s a chair to sit on and it’s very good value. I wish there were a “do NOT disturb” sign and a “Please clean” sign hanging in front of the room; that would improve it a lot.

Comfortable room, well equipped and well located to walk around Chiang Mai while still in a fairly quiet spot. Friendly staff. Nothing else.

Walking just one minute out, I found a quiet spot right next to the northeast corner of the ancient city walls. Across the room, there’s a coin‑operated washing machine and dryer – the washer costs 20 ฿ or 30 ฿, and the dryer charges 10 ฿ for a 10‑minute cycle. Turning right on the main road leads to an American‑style bistro with tasty food, friendly service, and fair prices; a few more steps bring me to the inexpensive chain coffee shop “on the way” that charges 35 ฿. A left turn on the main road and a three‑minute walk takes me to a 7‑11. The bed felt a bit hard and the pillow was too tall, so I didn’t sleep well for all three nights. There are only four rooms: one on the first floor and three on the second accessed by a spiral staircase, which makes carrying luggage a struggle for the ladies. The cleaning was spotless and the room was very simple, almost like a student dorm, but the value for money is acceptable. The owner lives on the first floor, speaks limited English, so there was little interaction.
