“Turn the music down!”

The location, views, and restaurant food are good. I had a great memory from a previous stay many years ago, but this time I was disappointed. The hotel hasn’t changed at all and could use modernization. The terrace by the sea, once beautiful, has become a nightclub‑style spot with blasting music that made conversation impossible, forcing us to go inside the restaurant. We had a late‑night flight and had to wait at reception, where the staff made us feel uncomfortable and even denied my daughter access to the restroom to change.

“Freundlicher Service und eine traumhafte Strandlage”

Communication before and during the stay was excellent, the staff was consistently very friendly and helpful, and the airport transfer was seamless. The room was clean and well maintained, and the direct beachfront location made the visit especially pleasant. However, early in the morning the area around our room was quite loud because children were playing in the hotel lobby and a guest was talking loudly on a speaker for a long time. We found the breakfast relatively pricey and not very extensive. Moreover, there were almost no walkable options nearby, so we had to rely on taxis for almost every activity.

The surroundings and the beach are nice, but the exterior cleanliness is lacking.

“Disgusting”

Everything was bad. The staff were rude, the owner was very rude and unapologetic, non‑understanding, heartless, and uncooperative; overall it was a very rude experience.

“A wonderful experience!”

After 25 years of staying at Citizen Hotel, my wife and I always choose it whenever we’re in Mumbai. The rooms stay clean, the views are great, and the breakfast is good, though I wish there were more fruit options.
