We got our own private stretch of river and a little mirador that let us hear the water all day. Hammocks were set up right by the sound of the stream, and even though the place is close to the village it felt surprisingly quiet. Marian was unbelievably friendly and always ready to help – hands down my favorite spot in Colombia, and I’d totally recommend checking out the other cabins at Finca Bolívar too.

The place itself was charming and the room felt spacious and super comfy. The only hiccup was a lukewarm shower, but the staff quickly arranged for us to use another room’s shower that same day. Being a short walk out of town meant it was a bit quieter, which wasn’t a bad trade‑off.

The staff went above and beyond, giving us tips on what to see, where to eat and even letting us store our bags for an extra night for free. The rooms were spotless, the twin beds had mosquito nets and personal fans, and the location was spot‑on with easy river access and a great viewpoint.

The bungalow was lovely, with its own bathroom and kitchen right next door, and the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. We loved the private river access and the surrounding scenery – would definitely recommend it.
