“Vraiment recommandé pour un séjour dans cette ville.”
Everything was great: the location, parking, the building is old but well renovated, the breakfast, and the staff were very friendly. Nothing negative.

The location is ideal, but unfortunately our room had a window on the ground floor that faced the street, so the window couldn't be used because it looked out onto a narrow alley. The room was very dark.

It was fantastic – we stayed in a Vista Room with one adult and two kids, enjoying a terrace with a great view that the children adored, and the scent of the wooden construction was memorable. Staying in a Peranakan house turned the whole experience into a rich learning opportunity. Though some guests mention the stairs negatively, I found the layout amusing; the hallway makes good use of the atrium, giving a sense of openness. The staff responded quickly to every request, the breakfast was delicious (the menu was modest but featured homemade porridge, meat dishes, local kaya butter with toast, and nasi lemak), and the meticulous bed‑making showed real respect for guests. I couldn’t reach for the higher‑tier Heeren Palm Suite, but I left completely satisfied. Breakfast was served at the Palm across the street, letting you soak up historic and cultural ambience – it felt like dining in a museum. Being a short walk away from the bustle of Johnk Street gave the location a calm, pleasant feel.

The beds were comfortable, the rooms spacious, the bathroom clean, and the overall building quality was good. The furniture was old, and there was a lack of equipment.
