“I'd definitely recommend a stay here”

The spot is charming, the property clean and welcoming, warm with plenty of hot water. The Parlour café serves good meals and drinks. The estuary views are great and there are easy walks, like the one to Burnham with good pubs and shops. Wifi worked flawlessly and the bed was super comfy – I slept great. I would have liked a 3pm check‑in instead of 4pm, and I’m not a fan of brown towels, white ones would be better. Long‑life milk capsules were supplied for tea and coffee, but a small jug of fresh milk would have been nice.

“One lovely night in the hen house with the dogs”

The surroundings are gorgeous and the walk to the river is lovely. The hen‑house accommodation was spotless, had everything we needed, and the bed was amazingly comfortable – 100 % recommend, we’ll return with the pooches.

I loved everything about Creaksea Place Barns: the bed was comfortable, the bathroom lovely, and the peaceful location ideal. The walk down to the marina was great. The only disappointment was that we were booked for just one night; we wanted a nice place to stay after traveling from Yorkshire to meet a rescue dog we intended to adopt. Nothing else.

Creeksea Place felt like a well‑designed spot for wedding guests and gym attendees, matching its description. Parking was ample and there were walking areas, but I hit a power outage on arrival and torches had been left in the barn. The barn itself lacked air conditioning and windows downstairs, so the only ventilation was the main door, which couldn’t stay open due to the two small dogs and the stairs, making the space musty. Coffee and tea were available, yet only a cafetiere was offered, which is impractical; the instant coffee was high‑quality and premium. The dark brown towels smelled musty, whereas white towels would have been more premium. No on‑site staff or reception meant I had to contact them by text and phone, which was friendly but inconvenient. The owner probably won’t be happy, but £185 per night is too steep for what’s on offer. They should invest more in customer experience. Having spent years traveling worldwide and staying in top accommodations, I see potential at Creeksea, but more effort is needed.
