The hotel was close to the beach and about 5 minutes from Savanna Street, the main street. I was worried it would be noisy at night, but it wasn’t too loud. The location was a bit confusing, but someone nearby helped me; from Savanna Street you keep going straight on the street where the clubs line up, turn left at the last intersection, and then take a narrow path that leads to the front desk.

I stayed here again after eleven years and a lot had changed; the food was good and the pool area felt like a tropical jungle. The rooms were dated, with a tiny cool box for a fridge, and the toilet didn’t seem to flush well. The hotel was tucked away along a narrow passage past noisy generators.

The location was great, the restaurant was beautiful, the food superb, and the bar had a good vibe. The room was very old, the TV didn’t work, it was full of harmless little black flies, and the bathroom was so bad that I never used the shower.

The atmosphere was good, but it was noisy and the facilities were old.

A great spot if you want to dive with friendly staff and great food, and the pool is a big bonus in the hot months! The room aircon wasn’t great and I hate the brownouts in PG!
