Everything was great, especially the bed which was super comfortable, though the bathroom was shared—something I had booked for, so that’s on me.

The location was spot‑on, the room was spotless, and everything from the furniture to the fixtures was brand new, but the soundproofing left a bit to be desired.

Everything was great, and House of Bruno is within walking distance of the train station, plus the room was nice.

The high rating reflects how the place delivers exactly what it promises: a large, bright room with a private bathroom (I chose that option), a very quiet but effective fan, a huge bathroom stocked with all the basics (hair dryer, toilet paper, towels, shower shampoo, hand soap), a fridge, and basic kitchenware that isn’t usually offered at a place that doesn’t serve breakfast—like a kettle, microwave, cups, glasses, plates, cutlery, plus tea bags and instant coffee, which is a nice bonus. Check‑in was smooth, far less hassle than some reviews mention, very intuitive, and even comes with a step‑by‑step video guide to accessing the property. The staff reply quickly to messages, and I only met the lady who handles cleaning—she was warm and attentive, and I didn’t feel the absence of a front desk, which the house’s emails and description repeatedly state: honesty and transparency are core values at House of Bruno. The luggage storage option was also a lifesaver, especially when the train arrives in the early afternoon, letting me roam the city without bags until the last minute. Overall, great value for money. For these reasons, despite some reviews that worried me, I was fully satisfied with my stay. The only advice I have for travelers is to think about the area: it’s only a few steps from the station and the city center, which is a huge logistical advantage, but it can feel a little unsafe at night because it’s somewhat isolated—just like many station‑adjacent areas in Italian and European cities. That said, it’s not a flaw of the property, just something to consider when booking, especially if you’re traveling alone.

I liked the room, and even though the shared toilet shower room was in a three‑unit limited area, it was fine. The arrangements felt like a panic room: how do you open the doors and get the room key? Also, before receiving any instructions, I had to pay an extra 3 € in taxes, and then I got spam emails, so I didn’t feel the payment was safe. Unfortunately, the accommodation’s surroundings were unsafe. Kaman users were around the corner and were warned beforehand by someone who wasn’t the host but a local train person.
