Excellent location, very pretty property, attentive host, good breakfast, large comfortable room, good bathroom. Great for seeing the main sights of the Loire Valley. They could use more of the property as a common area for guests.

“Perfect stay for a quick visit to The Loire Valley”

Definitely the right choice for our trip to the Loire Valley. The house sits in a small village about 10‑15 min by car from Amboise, and the location was perfect: it let us move easily around the area, see Tours and several nearby villages, reach the various castles comfortably, and at the same time enjoy the tranquility and charm of the surroundings. Cécile was extremely kind and attentive throughout our stay. We want to highlight how considerate she was about my husband’s celiac disease. Besides making sure gluten‑free bread was available for breakfast, she went out of her way to prepare homemade gluten‑free granola so he could enjoy breakfast like everyone else. Those little gestures really make you feel welcome and cared for. Additionally, Cécile gave us a list of recommended places to eat, taking into account the type of food we were interested in. We went to one of the places she suggested and it was excellent! Finally, the house is very lovely, cozy and quiet, and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Undoubtedly we would choose this place again if we return to the Loire Valley. Everything was very good! If I had to mention something that could be improved, only three things come to mind: 1) Shower toiletries: there was only body soap, so shampoo and conditioner were missing. When traveling it’s usually hard to bring these products and most accommodations include them. It would be good if the place provided them. 2) Check‑in time: when we booked we asked if we could arrive around 11:00 am just to drop off our luggage. The day before we were told check‑in was from 5 to 7 pm, but we didn’t see the message and assumed our initial request had been accepted (our mistake). When we arrived the hosts were clearly surprised to see us, as if we hadn’t asked about early arrival. Fortunately they let us leave our bags and we had no problem. It wasn’t a big deal, but a bit more flexibility could make a big difference. 3) Breakfast time: we were told it started at 8:00 am and asked what time we wanted to have it, so we said 8:00. We understood it would be ready then, but they started preparing it right then and we ended up eating a bit later. It wasn’t a problem for us, but we had a visit to one of the local castles at 9:30 and a earlier breakfast could have avoided a lot of stress. Overall, minor details and we enjoyed our stay a lot. Thank you very much for hosting us!

“Volvería sin dudas”

I liked the house, very pretty, decorated mixing an old and modern style. The dedication and good taste in remodeling the beautiful chateau are evident. Cecile, the owner, very loving and welcoming. The breakfasts are really good, healthy and very hearty.
