“Comfortable & tranquil for peaceful break”
Great location and everything I needed for a relaxing break. I couldn’t find anything I didn’t like.
Absolutely beautiful throughout. Everything was thought of—towels, shampoo, bread, milk, butter, washing‑up liquid, cloths, all clean. The bedroom felt a little snug, but it didn’t bother me much; only someone tall might have trouble. The signage was hard to find—posts are worn and unclear.
“Much needed break from busy lives in the beautiful rural Devon.”
The setting was peaceful and picturesque, with countryside views that felt like a retreat, yet a shop and a charming pub were close enough for convenience. Nearby, Dartmoor and the town of Tavistock were easy to explore. Outside the hut, a picnic table and a raised grassy area with chairs and a small table provided two seating options. The only drawback was the lack of an outdoor umbrella during the recent heatwave.
“Just the best weekend”
Such a beautiful place, so peaceful, just perfect. Nothing, except that we wish we had stayed longer.
“You will not be disappointed with this little gem. Set a quarter of a mile from the road all you can hear are the birds”
The shepherds hut offered a private spot with a picnic table, sun chairs, and a wine cooler inside that was spotless and fully stocked. Nothing to complain about.
