“Lugnt och trevligt hotell i vackra Carefree, Arizona”
The location was ideal for my retreat at Spirit in the Desert and right next to Carefree’s center, which is no surprise for a small town. The hotel was clean, tidy, and very quiet—no noise from other rooms, just hallway traffic. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a bit plain, mostly sweet American style with white bread, but otherwise well‑made and varied. Carefree itself is a lovely little place with plenty of cozy restaurants, a nice small desert park, and a charming Hispanic vibe—though the hotel didn’t quite match that. I’d definitely recommend visiting Carefree and its twin town Cave Creek, which feels very Western. The desert and surrounding mountains give a special atmosphere, and Phoenix isn’t far away. If you’re touring the area, I’d strongly suggest Hampton Inn; it’s nice to arrive there in the evenings. The bed was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was fresh. The only downside was a bedside lamp whose parts didn’t fit together, so it wouldn’t light up; I forgot to mention that earlier. There was another lamp on the other side of the bed that worked fine. I had hoped for a bathtub, but that’s common in Arizona because of water scarcity, and it didn’t bother me.
