The host was truly very welcoming and warm, gave good recommendations, and the traditional accommodation was very nice, well maintained, and a national monument that she explained the history of. Beautiful heritage and comfort with high‑end services.

The historic setting feels like a movie set, but the bathroom is in a separate building. It’s convenient and stocked with quality products, though you have to cross the courtyard, which can be uncomfortable if you need it urgently at night. Still, I recommend this historic spot.

Staying here was a highlight of our trip. It’s a unique chance to experience a traditional hanok, complete with a beautiful tea space and a room that feels like home. The hosts were lovely, friendly, and even offered to drive us into town when they could. We felt the authentic feel of living in a hanok—futons on the floor, tea spaces, and all that. As westerners, sleeping on a futon and sitting on the floor was different from what we’re used to, but it added to the experience, and we loved it.
