“Gostamos muito de Sorrento, muito por nossa estadia e localização.”
The contact with our rental company was quick and immediate; the place was very calm with a beautiful view of Vesuvius and the sea. The bed was comfortable. It’s close to the centre of Sorrento, the train station—10 minutes on foot—and the port—15 minutes on foot. It could use a small kitchenette, as the room has enough space. Utensils such as plates, cutlery, replacement toilet paper, and a iron could already be provided. Still, we were always attended to quickly.
“We liked it and happy that chose it”
The host was great and the location was good, but the check‑in was too late and the check‑out too early, and the bed was not very comfortable.
The location was peaceful, away from Sorrento’s hectic traffic, and the host was very kind, even offering to change the bathroom linens if asked. However, the bathroom had no shelves for a shower gel or a sink, the space was tight, the shower curtains were too small, and the room lacked a wardrobe—just a large chest of drawers.
“This wouldn’t be the first place id rebook. The listing is very misleading. Location and AC were good. Communication wit”
The location was good, only a 10‑15 minute walk to the centre with minimal elevation, close to the train station and very walkable. The AC worked well and communication with the host was quick. The bed was uncomfortable; the linens were old and had stains, and the pillows were the worst and lumpy. Each stay gave only one shower towel, and fresh clean towels cost extra. Over six nights we were given only two rolls of toilet paper, so we had to pay for more. A 100‑euro deposit was required, and none of these details were mentioned in the listing. The toilet paper could not be flushed. The patio door opens but is broken, so caution is needed. The towels were not soft and smelled badly. The shower had brown rust and buildup around the metal door. The host checks the toilet at the end of your stay to ensure it still flushes properly and that you haven’t flushed toilet paper; only then is the deposit returned. None of these issues were disclosed in the listing, which is the biggest problem for me. It is also a shared apartment that isn’t disclosed; there are three rooms in the apartment separated by an entryway and hallway, but you can hear everything, and the semi‑shared nature wasn’t clearly stated.
Theresa was very nice and helpful; the location is great, just a few minutes’ walk from the centre (Corso Italia) and from the train and bus stations.
