The bed was clean and the bathroom was private. However, there were no fork, knife or plates—just one cup, one teaspoon, and one plastic glass, though a microwave and a bar fridge were available.

The hotel is in a central spot and the bistro food was very good, but the room had mould, the tap and shower fittings were not secured properly, the outside door wasn’t sealed so it was very cold inside, the bedding was minimal, and the road outside was very noisy.

The staff were very good, and a young girl in the bar upgraded me because of a maintenance issue she fixed right away. The downstairs meal was lovely and the location was excellent. It was a Friday night, so it was very noisy; I had a rough sleep the night before and wanted an early night, but a band was playing and the music was thumping—expected, but I hadn't realized this could happen on a Friday.
