Gite Omar merzouga

Omar and his family are truly incredibly warm and friendly people! They constantly look after you and always ask if there’s anything they can do for you. The inn is simple but tidy, and the rooms are clean and cozy. During a sandstorm we were allowed to use the kitchen and even extended our stay for a night. When I wasn’t feeling well on the second day, we were let stay longer, and Omar even got me electrolytes! If you’re heading to Merzouga, this is the place—simply wonderful! Thanks for everything! Nothing negative—everything is top!

Omar is the friendliest and most welcoming person we’ve met in Morocco so far. Here, the guest is king and we felt at home from the very first minute. Check‑in times are flexible. The room is simply equipped but has everything you need. The dinner prepared for us was very tasty. The dunes are within walking distance. The only downside is that Wi‑Fi is only available in the public area.

Omar always checks in on what you need; you stay in a kasba beside the dunes, and the price was fantastic. The downside is that it’s far from the town and the restaurants.
