The building itself is gorgeous and sits right in the heart of everything you’d want to see, which made getting around a breeze.
Location and looks made up for the food and language hiccups.

The Chinese breakfast spread was solid, but the European options left something to be desired; surprisingly, plain water wasn’t offered at breakfast. When we asked the front desk to print or email us the invoice, they didn’t get the request, so we had to call management for help.
“Kicked out, no refund, and no English”
We booked a room only to find out the place only lets Chinese citizens stay—nothing was mentioned beforehand. They took our payment, then kicked us out without any explanation, and when we asked for a refund the staff just ignored us. To make matters worse, none of them spoke English, so we couldn’t even sort it out.
“Great spot, but the food and language barrier were letdowns”
The building itself is gorgeous and sits right in the heart of everything you’d want to see, which made getting around a breeze. The restaurant’s meals were pretty bland, and I kept running into staff who struggled with English, so ordering was a bit of a hassle. Still, the location and looks made up for the food and language hiccups.
“Friendly staff, but English needs work”
The staff were genuinely friendly and quick to help whenever I needed something, which made the stay pleasant. Unfortunately, their English was pretty limited, so simple requests sometimes got lost in translation. Overall, the kindness outweighed the language gap.
