The bedroom and en‑suite were clean and comfortable, and parking was available outside; the quiet residential area was a short walk from shops and restaurants. The other guests and the manager were friendly and helpful, but the communal sitting‑dining room looked untidy and needed attention, and the kitchen was busy in the morning. The over‑bed lights in the room didn’t work.

The room was basic and I didn’t use the other facilities. When I arrived I didn’t feel safe, and when I left I found my full name handwritten on a wall at the entrance, next to the key boxes, alongside my room allocation and the names of other guests—anyone entering the building can access this area. As a woman traveling alone, this was deeply concerning. Publicly linking a guest’s full name to a specific room poses a personal safety risk, especially given recent publicised incidents at other accommodation providers. I was in room 1; it was very noisy, and the whole place needs soundproofing. I could hear the trains going past. I wish I’d read the reviews more thoroughly, as I’m not sure how it has an overall good rating.

Location as went to football nearby. Felt bit cold and uninviting

Location was ok. Poor maintenance: cupboards were broken, the wash basin had a crack, the flush was broken, and no soap or shampoo was provided. Beds were uncomfortable.
