I loved the breakfast and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Other guests were also nice, so as a solo traveler I met a lot of people. The pool was at the right temperature and the patio was gorgeous. They offered complimentary cookies, coffee, tea, and Jamaica juice in the afternoon. The indoor patio‑lobby had comfy seating, a great spot to chat, chill, or read. The location is perfect for walking around Ajijic and catching public transport. The place was spotless and comfy with great amenities, but the decor felt too westernized; I’d have preferred a regional hacienda style with Mexican folk art, since Ajijic is known for folk and regional art.

The host was very personable and the staff genuinely made us feel welcome. The common area with the pool and the interior spaces were tastefully furnished and adorned with beautiful art pieces. Breakfast was generous, the bar stayed open from the afternoon until early evening, and a Nespresso machine was available all day in the salon. Walking distance to many sights and good restaurants, and the property is very well secured.
