Hotel Ponte Sisto, a former monastery in central Rome, overlooks a peaceful courtyard with a fountain, palm trees, and a buffet breakfast area. Modern, elegant rooms with air conditioning, satellite TV, and free Wi-Fi are offered. The hotel is 350m from Campo de' Fiori, a 10-minute walk from Piazza Navona, and close to public transportation, with Trastevere district across the Tiber River.

The location is good, but if you’re after charm, this isn’t the place.

Breakfast offered enough variety to keep you going. The rooms were quite pleasant and comfortable. The location is remarkably quiet, even though it’s close to Trastevere. It’s well connected yet doesn’t feel crowded, except on weekends; we went out then, so it wasn’t a problem. The rooms are soundproof, so it didn’t matter if it was busy outside.

The hotel was lovely and clean, and breakfast offered a wide range of fresh options. Its spot is ideal for exploring Rome’s center, and our room came with a spacious terrace. We’d definitely book again, though the rooms felt a bit small compared to the large American hotels we’re used to, which is typical for Europe.
