“Perfect location and an exceptional Sayyed, but the rooms and maintenance need serious improvement.”
The location is spot‑on, just a 2‑minute walk to Istiklal Street and under a minute from the main street. The real star of the hotel is Sayyed, who deserves far more than a 10/10. He was always smiling, calm, respectful, professional, and genuinely eager to help. Whenever we had a problem, he immediately tried to solve it and never made us feel like a nuisance. Even when issues were beyond his control, he did everything possible to support us. He knows how to manage guests, calm tense situations, and make people feel cared for. Honestly, Sayyed was the main reason we overlooked many of the problems and completed our stay. Management should truly appreciate him—he is an absolute asset to the hotel. For the price we paid, we didn't expect a luxury resort, and we were realistic about that. However, there is a difference between luxury and basic comfort. A functional mattress, a working toilet, and a reasonably comfortable room are basics any guest should expect regardless of price. We had a broken mattress for all three nights. We asked for it to be changed, but nothing was done. Technical problems can happen, including water issues, but spending a full night without a working toilet flush is unacceptable. The Superior Double Room is extremely small—your luggage barely fits comfortably, and the word “Superior” sets expectations that are simply not met. It is also noisy for light sleepers because a pub directly under the windows stays open late. Also, if you arrive before check‑in, keep in mind there is no restaurant, café, or proper waiting area—only three sofas at reception. We arrived at around 5:00 AM as a group of five, and there was simply nowhere for all of us to sit comfortably. Since almost nothing nearby was open at that hour and we had been traveling without sleep, we eventually had to book another hotel for a few hours just to rest until check‑in time.
