“Une halte exceptionnelle”

The village is beautiful, the house is away from commercial bustle and truly relaxing, the host is considerate and gave good tips and addresses, the house is renovated and tastefully furnished, we felt very comfortable, and there’s a handy little library with guides and monographs about the area; however, access is very difficult whether walking or driving, with steep, narrow streets, uneven large stone paving that’s slippery, and the village is very touristy.

The village of Sirince looks stunning, especially after the day trippers have left. The Terrace Houses are beautifully renovated and make you feel like a part of the village. Ömer Şamli was a fantastic host who offered great local recommendations.

“Unique hilltop old stonehouse experience, however some practical challenges”

This is a unique historical hill top stone-house that has preserved the ancient culture. We enjoyed its ambiance and the scenery. It is authentic with a rustic charm and a wonderful view of the village. Our beautiful host was very helpful. This place is not for everyone. Visitors should be made aware of three practical considerations 1) the two bedrooms are upstairs yet the only bathroom is downstairs. You need to be careful not to fall off the narrow stairs in the middle of night; 2) the shower is lukewarm with not much water pressure. 3) if you come with a car, you’ll need to drive uphill via extremely narrow cobblestone streets, which can be quite a test for Americans who aren’t used to it. That said, we managed to get through the challenges and had a good night sleep

“Beautifully refurbished historic home with gorgeous views of the surrounding village and mountains”

A beautifully restored historic home with stunning views of the village and mountains. The owner was friendly and shared great local tips. Its location is perfect for a day trip to Ephesus, and the home‑cooked breakfasts were tasty. I would definitely recommend it.
