The location and food were excellent, but the stairs leading to the basement room were a hassle.

The staff were amazing and breakfast outstanding, yet the room sat on the main thoroughfare and was very noisy when the bar was closing.
The location was great. The staff were extremely nice and the breakfast was delicious.

We were promised a garden‑view room but the view was just a cinder block and cement enclosure; the room was warm, the sliding glass door had no screen so bugs swarmed in when left open, and there was no fan. No hostess greeted us on arrival and we were told to speak with the bartender, who was only mildly helpful. Everything else was disappointing.

We were overall pleased with our stay at The Bank. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and breakfast was excellent—generous, very tasty, and one of the highlights of our visit. The pub itself was lively and clearly popular. Our room was good, though a touch below what we had expected, and there were a few maintenance problems: the shower was extremely hot and the mixer seemed faulty, the toilet cistern refilled itself about every ten minutes—even through the night—and one window wouldn’t open. Because the pub is busy, it can get noisy later in the evening, but we still enjoyed spending time there, so that was more a note than a major flaw. We also experienced an unexpected nighttime evacuation because of a fire alarm, which turned out to be a faulty detector. These things happen, but it did make for a memorable night!
