The room was super comfortable and the shower had hot water. Charly was very friendly and helpful, and they provided free drinking water. The location is quiet, Wi‑Fi is good, and the air‑conditioning works well. It’s a short walk from Central, so at night you might want to take a taxi—Charly recommends one for about 30 C. The seating area is pleasant and the garden is nice. The only issue was that there was no TV, which wasn’t a problem for us but is mentioned in the listing.

The atmosphere in Charly’s bar and the adjoining rooms is very lovely. The hosts are warm and give plenty of good tips for Granada and the surrounding area. We felt very comfortable.

Charly has lived in Nicaragua for over 35 years, promoted the city partnership with Frankfurt, and helps wherever he can—from the fire department. He answers every question. He (and his wife) are fantastic hosts and run an authentic German restaurant at Nicaraguan prices—from Maultaschen to Spätzle. He organizes almost everything, taking us to the Mombacho volcano (must do the Puma Trail!), the Isletas, and even to the pharmacy. We could wash our own laundry there. It’s absolutely quiet, free parking right in front of the house, and a 15‑minute walk to the city center. His tip to stay at Hotel Sabalos (almost on the Costa border, San Juan River) was great—he even drove us to the bus station in Managua himself, offering a river landscape with rainforest.
