It was a bit difficult to find, but once I found it, the room was neat and tidy! The shower was beautiful and the owner was very friendly. The Wi‑Fi connection was not optimal.

The environment is nice and it’s clear the place is well maintained. There were a lot of mosquitoes, and the room I stayed in had no mosquito net. At 5 am the mosque outside started ringing, which was too early. The Wi‑Fi speed was also poor.

The colonial house’s charm is undeniable; everything has been well restored and the rooms are gorgeous. Being close to the beach and the friendly, smiling caretaker made the stay pleasant. The downside is the mosque’s proximity and the mandatory 5 am wake‑up call.

The hosts were very responsive and accommodating, and the villa’s architecture is stunning; the air‑conditioned rooms are very comfortable. Special thanks to caretakers Azwar and the uncle for making us feel at home at all times. The location is rough, though—crossing the railway to town, locals will almost certainly approach you for money, and sometimes they come to the property seeking food or money. This is beyond the hosts’ control, but I feel obliged to warn others that it’s unsuitable for young families or women.
