Everything was perfect and the staff were excellent

Every time I head to Cape Town for work, I book this place and it never disappoints—staff greet you warmly, rooms are roomy, spotless, and cozy, the vibe is calm, the spot is handy, breakfast is solid, and it really feels like a second home.

The spot and its décor are pleasant, but the bed is the most uncomfortable thing I’ve ever slept on—more like a wooden plank. The staff seemed clueless, and paying R2400 a night for bed‑only feels like a rip‑off. Privacy in the bathroom is nonexistent; I walked into the TV mounting bracket twice, the second time it drew blood. Breakfast costs R180 per person, which is outrageous, and the coffee was grounds in a mug (they’re not instant). My wife ate before I got my meal, which is absurd. They should use the extra cash to buy a second omelet pan. I even had to teach the duty manager how to operate the Yoco terminal because she was unfamiliar with it.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, enjoying a very comfortable room and exceptional service from the wonderful, friendly staff. The hotel's proximity to the golf course was also a major plus. Overall, it was a great experience.
