It’s a very nice place in an amazing environment, and the staff were very helpful and welcoming.

Very close to everything, great location, and a good bar with a pool table and live‑music nights. Lots of mosquitoes by the river, but that’s to be expected.

It was supposed to rain the next few days, and the manager wasn’t sure the tent would stay sealed, so she unexpectedly gave us a room with a roof over the head at no extra cost.

The location feels like a jungle; you can walk to the beach, restaurants, and the main street. Prices are high, the bed is very hard, there was no mosquito net so the doors had to stay closed all day, and sitting outside was impossible because of the many mosquitoes by the small lake. The outdoor chairs were for kids, and the hammock was moldy. I’ve stayed at other places on the island that I liked much more. The bar’s music gets noisy at night, and the price wasn’t cheap for that level of accommodation, but the lady was very helpful and arranged a free ferry ride that I really appreciated.
