The location is unbeatable, the views were spectacular, and the lodge rates were very reasonable. We had a great time! The pillows were a bit flat, the lock on the back door to the patio was subpar, and overall it felt a bit lacking.

The staff were extremely courteous. The location was excellent and the price is hard to beat.

It’s close to downtown. The room was clean and comfortable with a beautiful view of Lake Superior. If it had been peak season the sights would have been amazing, but we knew it was off‑season. I can’t wait to stay there in the summer. We took the ferry to Madeline Island, which was a real adventure with open water and plenty of ice. Because of the time of year it was less busy, many businesses were closed or only open on weekdays, and we stayed over the weekend.

The location is beautiful and the staff are friendly. The only downside was hearing every conversation from the room next to ours.

I was thoroughly impressed by the hotel's elegant rooms, which exceeded my expectations in terms of comfort and aesthetics. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made a genuine effort to ensure our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Although there were a few minor issues with the hotel's amenities, they didn't detract from our overall experience. We're already looking forward to our next visit and can't wait to see what improvements have been made.
