We came for a wedding weekend in Saint‑Epain and the lovely studio in the troglodyte valley was exactly what we needed for quiet, restful nights a few kilometres away by car; it was convenient, and since we didn’t need to cook, the lack of a kitchen area didn’t bother us, though there was a coffee and tea setup for waking up. The bedding was very comfortable, communication with our host was very responsive and accommodating, and we had good contact. Because of the wedding we didn’t have time to explore the area, but there are plenty of things to do, especially the Château d’Azay le Rideau, about a 20‑minute drive away, which we’ll probably visit next time. The only downside was the mini‑fridge’s small size, which meant we couldn’t store much— a large bottle of water probably wouldn’t fit, only small ones—but since we were only there for a weekend and it wasn’t very hot, that was fine.
