The large room offers a great view of the bay/pier, the bed is good, the food is tasty, and the staff are very friendly and helpful in a homely hotel atmosphere. The hotel has a bus stop across the street and is a 20‑minute walk from the Arran distillery. The heating apparently turned off in the evening/night, which normally isn’t a big deal, but we had damp clothes after a walk. The staff offered to dry them in the hotel laundry room, which was a great solution.

The location is stunning, overlooking the bay and castle—just amazing. The staff went the extra mile and helped with transport issues, so I can’t recommend the County Inn highly enough. Wonderful! Nothing negative; our stay was excellent.

The hotel is owned by the village residents who also work there, so it feels extra charming. The food was good and the locals played live music. 🤩
