It was very cheap, so the financial burden was low. A handmade map with nearby shops and restaurants was handy. A bit cleaner would have made it even more comfortable.
Excellent accommodation, the owner was very attentive, and the area was very quiet—perfect for resting after a day of walking.
The rooms matched the photos, with a tidy kitchen, clean bathrooms, plenty of towels, and everything organized nicely. Getting to Kyoto station was a breeze, and the host was very helpful. The only downside was the steep stairs, which can be a hassle if you’re lugging heavy luggage up.
The price and room size were good, no complaints.
