Getting in was a breeze thanks to the code sent when booking, and the 24‑hour phone line was manned by a genuinely charming and capable guy who even helped us at 9:30 pm to move to a new room after I had booked a place without a lift for my dad in a wheelchair; they shifted us to the first floor and let me borrow a duvet from another room for the sofa bed. The place was very quiet, tucked away on a side street. The sofa bed, however, was very uncomfortable – two people should opt for the nice two‑single rooms on the second floor, though a child might manage on the sofa bed because they’re not heavy.

The service was straightforward and efficient, but I was annoyed by emails telling me we couldn’t use the shared kitchen and that I would be fined for it.
