Philippe, the owner, welcomed us and the old house was beautiful, yet the property needs more upkeep and cleaning.

We only liked the owner's politeness and kindness; the shared bathroom and toilet were poorly explained on Booking, there were dead insects in the room, the linens were dirty and old, and the bedroom door, like the main entrance, didn’t lock properly.

“Très décevant !”

The location and panoramic view could be great if the surroundings were maintained; the pool is very hazardous because the coping and tiles are unglued or broken, and pool chemicals are within reach of children (a whole bucket of chlorine). The Porthos room is in extreme unsanitary condition—ceilings are about to collapse and mold is everywhere. The path to the pool is dangerous due to completely detached tiles, especially on the steps, and the pool coping is similarly ruined, making the area unsafe for both kids and adults. Towels had a foul odor and mold stains on some; the living area’s fridge was moldy and rusty, the dishes smelled bad and were heavily soiled. A thorough deep clean and major interior and exterior maintenance are needed for the property to become truly welcoming.
