“Meh”
We were greeted warmly upon arrival and could check in early, which was great. The spot was fantastic, right next to Teatro Massimo, and there was nothing to complain about in terms of location. However, when we received the keys, I was already confused by the card and the three keys plus an extra lock—it was a lot. The first night we returned around 23:00, our room card stopped working. Luckily, the extra key worked, but the card didn’t work in the room either, which was very frustrating because it was hot outside and we needed cooling. I sent a message right away, but they were only available on WhatsApp until 23:00. The next morning at 9:00 I got a reply hoping they would come to the property and fix the issue. They also said they would keep me updated. At 15:00 I sent another message for an update and received nothing. No response, nothing. We went to the man at the entrance, but communication was poor because he only spoke Sicilian. Eventually, someone else from Wonderful Italy reached me and told me someone would come within 20‑30 minutes. More than 1.5 hours later! Finally someone arrived. I have a lot of patience, but this made my blood boil. To find out that the extra key was just inside the room in a closed cabinet?!! I told Wonderful Italy I was really not satisfied with this experience. I’ve never had this before. Outside, in Suite AIDA, there was the sound of a water pump, especially when the neighbors went to the bathroom or were showering—annoying noise. No view of Teatro Massimo as the photos suggested. Wi‑Fi never worked well, and the internet connection on the TV kept dropping, which was very annoying. When we wanted to watch something in the evening, we got the “internet is down” message ten times. Should I come back? No. I hope others have a better experience than I did.
