“Great views, bungalows could do with an update but are comfortable not glamorous”
The location is convenient, within walking distance of a few other bars if you don’t want to travel far. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning ran quietly. Rooms were cleaned daily to a solid standard. The restaurant sits nicely overlooking the sea. Staff were friendly and efficient. However, the restaurant offered too many food options. The free breakfast was subpar, with under‑cooked scrambled eggs, and good coffee required an extra charge; the only other option was nasi goreng. Early‑morning staff chatter between rooms was a bit annoying. The property looks past its prime, and the bungalow cost $100 AUD per night, so it’s unclear if that’s expensive or cheap. If you expect a pristine stay, this isn’t it, but it still worked. The hotel isn’t suitable for disabled guests or those with mobility issues due to steep steps and a driveway; a scooter is essential for getting around. The hotel provided one for about $10 AUD a day, which is far better than the traffic in Bali. The undercover pool was quite cold, and there were two smaller pools—one directly in front of a room and the other undergoing maintenance, but it should be ready soon. For those who need to work online, the Wi‑Fi isn’t that great.

At first glance the accommodation seemed nice, but the stay was disappointing. The location was poor, far from beach life, and the surroundings were bleak. We did not get the room we had booked. The property overall is aging. The rooms were small and not properly clean; spider webs were even on the tap, and the master bathroom had a urine smell. Only hot water was available there, and no repairs were made. The “doors” were sliding windows that were extremely stiff; this was dismissed when we mentioned it. The lounge chairs were dirty, and dishes were not cleared for a long time.

What a wonderful hotel! Fantastic people, very friendly and helpful. Beautiful, tidy, clean rooms and a bonus great view. The restaurant was also good, with a wide menu and delicious food every time. Lovely owner, nice staff, which made our holiday even more enjoyable! Niks, alles was uitstekend geregeld!
