We were double booked and received no apology or assistance. After a six‑hour journey we had to find alternative accommodation on our own.

Staying with my dog was a big plus. The room was clean, and check‑in and check‑out were quick and easy. The rooms sit above a pub, so expect noise and activity downstairs, especially during busy times. The beds were uncomfortable and the room itself was very basic, with only beds and a wardrobe. If you’re after extra amenities, you’ll be disappointed. The kitchen area has a few essentials like tea and instant coffee. Breakfast is limited to toast and cereal, so don’t expect a fuller spread. There’s no on‑site parking, but street parking is nearby.

The twin room was friendly, very clean, and tidy, with an excellent en suite. I forgot to plan for late arrival and parking, but I got lucky.
