The building feels grand and the rooms are spacious. I ordered dinner at the on‑site restaurant, which was convenient since there were no other eateries nearby. The Sri Lankan breakfast was generous and the staff were friendly. However, the location feels isolated with nothing around. The bed had a lot of hair on it and the water heater didn’t work. The overall vibe was strange and the place seemed empty.

The breakfast was good and the room was nice. It was difficult to turn on the hot shower, and the outlets were only of the English type.

If you expect high standards for the price, you might want to book a five‑star hotel instead. For a stopover from Negombo to Sygiriya, it was okay and generally fine. The property appears unfinished; the upper floor is missing, which has caused water damage inside and outside the building. That’s a real pity. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was good. The water damage inside and outside the house is very noticeable, and the wallpaper is peeling from the walls.
