Location is killer – everything’s a walk away, great for grabbing a bite or strolling. The only downside? It’s on the fourth floor with no lift, so climbing the steep stairs with luggage is a pain – one person had to help me. And once you realize it’s a hostel, the shared shower and toilet per floor become obvious; long lines, no TV in the room, and it’s noisy enough that you can’t nap during the day. For what they charge, it’s over the top.

I booked two nights, but when I got there they said the room was gone and offered me a sofa instead. Not what I expected.

Central and easy to get around, but bathrooms are a nightmare. There are only a handful of them for all the rooms – a tiny shared bathroom on the lower floor with a toilet and small sink, and on the upper floor a women’s bathroom with a toilet and a single shower. When the hostel is full, you end up waiting a while.

Super location – right next to the cascade, a pedestrian street, and a grocery shop across the road. The place offers great value for the price.

The staff are attentive – they helped me carry my bags and were quick to sort out any issues. For the price, it’s a solid choice.
