The service, the place, the atmosphere and the food were all simply awesome, especially thanks to Subhojit, who made this one of the best managed and cared‑for properties I've ever stayed at. The only downside is that they literally spoil you, so you miss it as soon as you leave.
“It was a nice stay.”
Hospitality was excellent, especially from Mr Manish Das and Mrs Shampa who helped and assisted us very well. The only issue was that, except for breakfast, the a‑la‑carte food tasted and was of a quality that needed improvement given how high the cost is.
“I will keep this moderate experience but surely not value for money.”
The staff behaved excellently and did their best to give a homely feeling, which I found the best during my entire stay. The price is extremely high; I've visited many tourist destinations where a much better location was available for a lower price, and the room rent should not exceed 5k. Moreover, the lunch food doesn’t match the price, and the food is extremely expensive with a taste that could have been better. In short, this place feels overhyped, largely due to paid digital marketing. The road conditions are pathetic for this location, even though that is not the hotel's responsibility.
The food, ambience, service staff, structure, beauty and pool were all amazing. However, the property needs more maintenance and a focus on cleanliness; the pond area water was pooling, outdoor furniture was old and dusty, and the front desk staff were not very cordial. There were no good entertainment options such as village tours, boat rides or river views, and the road leading up to the hotel was in very bad condition for a long stretch.
“Overall, while the physical product was excellent, the food, while good in both quality and taste, was not worth the muc”
The rooms and property were all very well maintained and restored with high‑quality materials. Although the rooms lacked a television and had dim lighting, neither bothered us. The rooms and bathrooms were tastefully designed with marble and crown moulding that reminded us of the hotel’s royal history without feeling dated. The main complaints were about the service: while many staff greeted and helped us at the entrance and exit, the restaurant staff, though polite, were very inefficient. For example, at lunch we ordered a thali that supposedly offered unlimited veg refills but we had to ask twice before receiving any. At breakfast, a staff member offered to bring the omelette I ordered from the egg station to my table; after 30 minutes there was no sign of them, so we left the buffet.
