“Dejligt at prøve opholdet og fint til en nat, men meget slidt hotel. Havde jeg vidst man skulle bade nøgen havde jeg val”
The menu they served was exciting, but I thought the hotel was very worn out.

The outdoor Onsen overlooking the river was nice and the only good thing, and the walk down the gorge was great. But the hotel felt like it was from the 1970s, worn out and tired, and not terribly clean. We paid 60,000 Yen for a basic Japanese room, with dinner and breakfast, which was ridiculously expensive for what it is. I would not recommend staying here unless the price was at least a quarter of what we paid. The Japanese banquet food was visually stunning and very refined in taste, but actually somewhat bland. We were seated in what felt like a huge empty bleak cafeteria with no windows. There was a restaurant upstairs with stunning views over the river and forests, but we were not given that choice. The futon mattresses on the floor consisted of two or three half‑inch ancient stained foam pieces, so thin and uncomfortable that we had to get more out of the cupboard and make them ourselves. There were no welcome drinks, only free soft drinks in paper cups in the lobby. There was no coffee in the room, only green tea, which was unusual compared to all other places we have stayed. All in all, I feel disappointed and ripped off.

Fantastic value for money, lovely onsen, traditional food that was really good, free coffee, authentic experience – everything was good.

Everything was excellent. The treatment was very exclusive; we chose the room with an onsen bath. Free yukata, pajamas, and various bath items were available. The dinner was superb, and the breakfast was a typical Japanese experience.

Loved my Japanese style room with beautiful mountain views. It was exceptionally large with an additional large balcony with comfortable seating. Dinner was simply out of this world. About 10-12 courses, each beautifully presented. .the service was also 5star. Breakfast was also outstanding, with the same standard of excellence as dinner. Nothing
