It was right in the jungle and had a historical and environmental vibe. It’s quite old and not fresh, needs a renovation especially bathrooms, and the breakfast was not very good.

The grounds are very pretty and textured, there's a small pool, a restaurant, and paid bicycles.

The staff were very attentive, especially Akhill and Jenna; the hotel was very pretty and well‑maintained, surpassing our expectations. I wasn’t very optimistic because I had chosen another hotel that had overbooking and was directed to St Claude, but in the end Hotel Chateau Sant Cloude turned out to be far better than the one I had tried to book before. The location is a bit farther away, yet still very easy to reach by bike.

The welcome was excellent, the place was clean, and the quality of services (including the pool) was good; it was quiet, 20 minutes on foot from the village. The room and bathroom were spacious, and bicycles could be rented on site. The food, however, didn’t live up to the resort’s standard: the breakfasts were mediocre, only slightly better later on. A dinner at the on‑site Curie Créole left me ill that night, so I doubt the freshness of the sauce!
