The spot right on the beach is great, but the name “Luxuriöse” feels misleading since nothing luxurious was actually there, and the breakfast was geared only toward Asians—my wife, who is Vietnamese, found it disappointing as well.

The location is the best, and everyone from Na, Tam, Pguong, to the egg lady at breakfast was friendly and courteous, but the construction next door keeps banging in the mornings.

The place sits well, and the room is comfortable, roomy, and offers spectacular views of the beach and city, but the bathroom lighting is terrible. We chose it mainly for the gym, which turned out to be a joke, and the rooftop bar was a flop with very few drinks, no gin, and almost no guests. The pool is hardly usable for sunbathing because part is under the building and the other part gets little light. Breakfast looked appealing online, yet the reality was a low‑class food court with a poor selection of food, which is unacceptable for seasoned travelers like us given the price.
