The location was clean, the staff lovely and friendly, and having to use the room key for the lift felt safe. The drink price was a bit expensive; the room price was okay, but I wouldn’t want to pay more than I did.

The hotel looked upscale and a lot of effort had clearly gone into the decor. The room was dirty, with rubbish under the bed, crystallised urine around the toilet, a dirty shower, an empty minibar, and dust on surfaces when moving items. Female staff were annoyed by questions or simply cold to speak to, while the male staff at the morning reception were friendly and helpful. The mattress made me roll into my partner all night, so I didn’t get much sleep and it wasn’t enjoyable.

The location was great, but the rooms had a strange layout, the beds and pillows were really uncomfortable, and the bathroom wasn’t great.

We waited an hour to check in, the room had no window, and the parking wasn’t actually with the hotel as advertised.
