Denali Grizzly Bear Resort, located in McKinley Park, sits just 15 minutes from the Denali Visitor Center and 130 km from Fairbanks International Airport. Each cabin offers cable TV, a private full bath, and a cozy fireplace. The resort features a mini‑market, gift shop, propane RV station, and central cooking shelters with campfire circles. An onsite tour desk enhances visitor convenience.

The cabin feels warm thanks to its all‑wood construction and offers a spacious room with a balcony overlooking the river. Parking is free right in front of the room. The only downside I noticed was the lack of an indoor refreshment spot.

The view over the fast‑flowing river was lovely and very peaceful. It could use a few pods of milk in the fridge to make a cuppa.

I crossed the street to the nearby resort for breakfast. No problems with the accommodation itself.

The room was simple, rustic, and clean, with logs that gave a country vibe matching my image of Denali. I imagined smelling the woodsy scent and enjoyed the view of the Nanana river. Breakfast was across the street at Denali Village, which was very good. We arrived after 9 pm and had to wander in the dark to find our unit; a few employees eventually guided us, and everything turned out fine.
