The room itself was a highlight, with a comfy bed and a silent area that made for a great night's sleep. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when the power went out and there was no backup plan in place. I ended up spending the night in the dark, and to make matters worse, there was no water available, so I had to find an alternative place to shower. Still, the room itself was a redeeming factor.

I was really looking forward to a traditional European breakfast, but it turned out they didn't offer it. On the bright side, there are some great African breakfast spots in the neighborhood that I ended up trying instead. Overall, it was a bit of a disappointment, but I made do.

I was blown away by how peaceful Shali Hotel was - after a long and stressful trip, it was exactly what I needed to unwind and recharge. The only thing that would've made it perfect was a nice breakfast to start the day, but other than that, it was a wonderful stay.

The biggest issue I had with this place was the ventilation - it was really stuffy and could've been improved. Additionally, there were a few missing essentials like faucets, a toilet seat, and a bedside lamp. It was a bit of a mixed bag, but hopefully, the management will address these issues.
