“Perfect location in town and close to nature”

I traveled solo as a woman and the location was perfect. It’s right in town, so I could walk back from dinner and reach the room in 5 minutes, feeling safe. The beach is also within a 5–10 minute walk. The town has restaurants and supermarkets, making it ideal if you don’t plan to use a car or bus everywhere. I think De Koog is the ideal spot on the island for those who want to be in a town, right in the middle of the dune natural park, and within a long bike ride of everything else. Caroline, who lives downstairs, was accommodating and flexible with arrival and departure times. The room includes a small fridge and a kettle, allowing me to prepare simple meals. The shared bathroom is renovated and beautiful. Prices are among the more affordable on the island. I would definitely return. The only drawback is that it might not be ideal for couples or if you really need privacy, as you might cross paths with other guests in the bathroom area and hear conversations through the door. However, it was fine and perfect for me.

The room is nice, the beds are good, and the location is convenient. The downside is that you had to share the bathroom with up to three other families, meaning you had to wake up very early or very late. Cleaning and emptying the trash bin occurred at different times in the rooms, which was a bit odd when you’re still in bed or already up.

“Texel Urlaub”

We had a wonderful holiday in this great apartment! From the very first moment we felt completely at ease. The apartment is cozy, clean, and perfect for a relaxing break. A special thank you to our host: she is incredibly kind and welcoming. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and will gladly return! The only downside is that sharing a bathroom with others was not a personal issue for us.

The host is very friendly! The location is excellent and quiet, just a few hundred meters from the beach. The room is pretty and modernly furnished. The communal bathroom is very nice and well-maintained. For a vacation with very small luggage, it’s great. We stayed for several days, and a bit more storage space—shelves or a wardrobe—would have been appreciated.
