The staff were really nice and attentive, we felt like part of the family.
The views from the rooms were just incredible, and we even spotted a toucan eating in a tree from the balcony.
The property is really clean.
The food was great and we loved the variety.

“Ein ganz besonderer Ort”
The Santa Juana Lodge is a truly special spot, perched high in the mountains above Quepos with a breathtaking view that stretches from the beautiful mountain scenery to the sea. We stayed in the large apartment and were thrilled; it was very roomy, beautifully decorated, with a big kitchen and a huge balcony. The view in every direction was especially impressive, letting us really enjoy the lodge’s unique setting. The food was excellent—both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The open dining area was beautifully designed and added a lot to the special atmosphere. During breakfast we could order more anytime. Another highlight was the waterfall that belongs to the lodge; it sits wonderfully in the middle of nature and you can swim there. A small tip: we love hiking, so we walked to the waterfall, but the path goes over a road and isn’t particularly scenic, so we’d recommend driving instead. All in all, an extraordinarily beautiful place with dreamy views, great food, and a unique vibe. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can’t recommend the Santa Juana Lodge enough.
“A truly one of a kind experience 🇨🇷”
Astonishingly, Santa Juana was flawless from start to finish, feeling more like a home away from home than just a pretty place to stay. Ariel, a genuine sweetheart, was always ready to help and made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. Harold’s cooking was incredible—every day he served a different, delicious dish, and we relished the chance to taste authentic, home‑cooked meals. Alan guided us on tours with such enthusiasm for the local flora, fauna, and surroundings that the experience became even more memorable; his love and respect for the land were evident. Planting a tree felt like a meaningful way to leave a small mark and give back to this beautiful place. The property itself was stunning, impeccably clean, and fully equipped, while the views and scenery were breathtaking—pictures just can’t capture it. The waterfall was gorgeous and a highlight of our stay. What truly set Santa Juana apart was the genuine hospitality; everyone worked hard to make us feel at home rather than mere guests. This hidden gem is unforgettable, and we’re already planning a return with more family and friends to share what we loved. Thanks to Ariel, Harold, Alan, and everyone at Santa Juana for making our time in Costa Rica exceptionally special. Pura Vida!
“Ein sehr schönes Hotel in den Bergen. Die Aussicht und die Natur sind atemberaubend. Das Haus hat alles was man benötigt”
The view was breathtaking. The private waterfall, reachable on foot in about 25 minutes, was the highlight for us, and we had it all to ourselves. The path to it was a bit difficult in some spots, but remember we were in the rainy season; a 4x4 vehicle helps.
The lodge was outstanding, with great views, plenty of birds, and excellent staff. The road to get there isn’t paved, but that didn’t cause any problems.
“Fantastisch pura vida”
The place was peaceful, with birdsong. The staff were very friendly.
