Everything was in perfect order, though you can spot lizards, spiders, and the like, which is understandable given the cottages are tucked into a tiny village amid rice fields and lush greenery.

The bedding was extremely dirty, with many stains, and the bathroom was crawling with ants everywhere. Warm water barely lasted for one wash, but otherwise it was relatively okay.

The décor was lovely, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the location, breakfast, and staff were always helpful. The mosque’s continuous noise was a bit disruptive, and there were no bedside lamps.

Everyone was warm and welcoming, the surroundings were beautiful, and the rooms were nicely decorated. Breakfast was excellent, and they arranged a day trip with friendly drivers. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. The property is in the middle of nature, so insects or small animals can appear; we saw a spider, but the staff removed it right away when we asked. A nearby mosque can be loud during prayers, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The location is great, probably the best hotel near Yijen Volcano, and the value for money is outstanding and cheap. The rooms weren’t that clean, so we brought a disposable set of sheets. Considering we left at 3 am to watch the sunrise at Yijen Volcano, the distance and price were already very good.
