The view from the bedroom was nice, but the carpet at the bathroom entrance had gone from pink to black, and the building needs some work—old paint on the walls, rust on the exterior stairs and railings. The terrace offers a good view but is partially blocked by a roof. These issues aren’t huge, yet the room was pricey and didn’t feel worth the cost.
The owner and his wife were very courteous; when we checked in they gave us a detailed explanation of how to reach the old street and even a small map. The guesthouse shows its age, though you can see they’re putting effort into upkeep. The only downside was the sheer number of mosquitoes.
Overall, it’s pretty good; the wife is very kind and there’s parking available, which is great. The bed is a bit hard.
